On 16th May 2011 members of the Ford Model T Register, met in Fort William, which lies at the foot of Ben Nevis, Scotland, to celebrate the achievement of Henry Alexander.

In May 1911 Henry Alexander was the first person to take a model T Ford to the summit of Ben Nevis. This feat of daring created much publicity for the model T Ford which went on to become a motoring icon. Over 60 model T Fords gathered for the event and as in 1911, the rest is history.
